The Costae Tetra (Moenkhausia costae), also known as the Blackline Tetra, is a highly active, silver-bodied schooling fish from Brazil, popular for its tight, synchronized swimming behavior in planted aquariums. Growing to 2–2.5 inches, they are hardy, peaceful, and best kept in groups of 6+ in tanks 20+ gallons.
